For your money

Paying with Soca

Choose Soca at checkout and pay 1% less than the listed price, with real receipts, subscriptions you fully control, and no card numbers to leak.

When a business accepts Soca, paying with your Soca account is the best deal in the room: you pay 1% less than the listed price, every time. A $100 purchase costs you $99. That is not points, and it is not a rebate that shows up later. It is a discount taken off before you pay.

The discount is a Soca account benefit: it applies when you are signed in to a Soca account and paying from a wallet registered to it. Paying from a connected wallet without a Soca account works exactly the same way, at the full listed price.

Paying at checkout

  1. 1

    Choose Soca

At checkout, pick Pay with Soca and sign in to your account. The price updates immediately to show your discount.

  2. 2

    Review

You see exactly who you are paying and exactly what you will pay. No surprises, no pre-checked extras.

  3. 3

    Approve

One tap (with your passkey, if you have one set up) and it is done. Customers never pay network fees. Soca sponsors gas on every transaction.

You never type a card number, so there is no card number for a business to store, lose, or leak. Every payment is a one-time approval you make yourself. No business can pull money from your account without a permission you explicitly granted.

Paying in person

In a shop, the business shows a QR code for your total. Point your phone camera at it. The payment page opens, you check the amount and the store name, and approve. No terminal, no card, no app-store scavenger hunt. If you want a paper trail, you can have the receipt emailed to you on the spot.

Receipts

Every payment gets a proper receipt showing who you paid, how much, when, and its status. You can download it, print it, or have it emailed. Because payments settle on a public network, each receipt also links to an independent record you can verify yourself. It is proof that does not depend on trusting Soca or the business.

Subscriptions you approve

When you subscribe to something with Soca, you are granting a narrow, visible permission, not handing over a card that can be charged for anything. Open any subscription under Plans and you can see exactly what the business is allowed to do:

  • Capped per period: the business can never take more than the stated amount in a billing period. Not once, not ever.
  • Fixed destination: payments go to that business only; the permission cannot be redirected somewhere else.
  • Always revocable: you can withdraw the permission whenever you like.

You also see the price, the next payment date, and how long you are paid through, plus a receipt for every renewal.

Cancel or revoke

  • Cancel at period end: keeps your access until the current period runs out, then stops. No future charges.
  • Revoke immediately: cuts off the spending permission on the spot. Future charges are blocked instantly, and the revocation is final. Note: revoking disconnects the permission for your account entirely, so it stops *every* subscription paid from that wallet, not just the one you are looking at.

Refunds

If a business refunds you, the money comes straight back to the account you paid from, usually within a minute of the business confirming it. A refund is a new merchant-signed USDC transfer back to the customer, never a reversal, always visible on-chain.

The 1% discount, in short

Card networks charge businesses roughly 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction, settling in days. Soca costs businesses far less, and part of that saving is passed to you as a 1% discount at checkout. Everyone wins except the card networks.
